Early preview. No independent security review yet. A dating app for the room you're in

See if the feeling's
mutual.

meatchat lets two people in the same place find out if they like each other. There are no profiles to browse. The installed apps find nearby phones over Bluetooth. The web app uses a room code, so it cannot prove who is nearby.

Over 18s only. No account needed.

Your preferences stay on your phone.
Nobody gets a page of strangers to scroll through.

How it works

Join a room and see if you match.

01

Join the room.

The installed apps can discover nearby phones over Bluetooth. In the web preview, everyone enters the same room code. A web room can be joined from anywhere, so only use a code from someone you trust.

02

Set what you're looking for.

Your phones exchange encrypted messages and check whether your preferences line up. Other people do not get to see those preferences. The matching design is tested, but it still needs an independent cryptographic audit.

03

Go say hi.

It's a match. A private chat, just the two of you, helps you find each other in the crowd. You both choose what to share and when. Either person can stop before sharing a description or photo. Then the fun part happens where it should: in person, in the same room.

What makes it different

There are no profiles to browse.

No profile browsing

No public profile

You set your matching preferences on your own device. They are not uploaded to a central catalogue for strangers to browse.

Preferences stay local

Your preferences stay local

The phones exchange encrypted messages and reveal the match result. A relay can still see connection times and room identifiers, and the matcher has not yet been independently audited.

Works without Google

Bluetooth in the installed apps

The Android and iPhone builds can use Bluetooth. The web app uses a relay because mobile browsers do not provide the Bluetooth features meatchat needs.

Data minimised

You decide when to report

Your identity seed, settings and block list stay on your device until you reset them. A safety report reaches us only when you choose to send one.

Try it

Use the web app or install it on Android.

Open in your browser

Open it on a modern phone and add it to your home screen if you want. There is no account. The web app uses shared room codes rather than Bluetooth, so a room does not prove that its members are nearby.
