Effective 16 July 2026 · version 2026-07-16

Terms of use

These terms govern the meatchat technical preview operated by Forgesworn from the United Kingdom. By using it, you agree to these terms, the privacy notice and the safety rules.

Not a public-beta launch yetThe matcher audit, production field matrix and full legal operator details are pending. The preview may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn and must not be treated as a safety, identity or physical-proximity verification service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18, legally able to agree to these terms, and permitted to use the service where you are. The current age gate is self-declaration, not identity or age verification. We may restrict access where required by law or safety risk.

What the service does

meatchat lets participants exchange encrypted protocol messages and learn a mutual compatibility result. Native builds may use Bluetooth; web and relay rooms may be joined remotely. A room, peer label, signature, report, match or message does not verify a person’s identity, age, honesty, location, intentions or safety.

Your conduct

You must follow the safety rules and must not:

User content and moderation

You keep ownership of content you create. You grant Forgesworn a limited licence to transmit it as needed to operate the feature you selected and, for content you explicitly escalate, to store, review, reproduce and disclose it as reasonably needed for safety, abuse prevention and legal compliance.

Peer-to-peer reports are advisory and local. Central escalation is reviewed by the operator and may lead to warnings, service-level blocking where technically possible, preservation of evidence, referral to a venue or authority, or no action. We may remove access or content when reasonably necessary, but cannot promise to monitor decentralised or offline traffic.

Meeting people safely

A match is not a recommendation. Decide for yourself whether to engage, keep early interactions in public, tell someone your plans, protect personal and financial information, and leave or contact local emergency services if you feel unsafe. Never send money or valuables based only on an interaction in the app.

Preview software, security and availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Cryptographic and networking software can contain defects. The matcher has not yet been independently audited, Bluetooth background behaviour varies by device, and shared relay rooms do not establish proximity. Directly distributed APKs bypass app-store review and must be verified using the published hashes.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, Forgesworn is not responsible for another user’s conduct, meetings arranged through the service, indirect or consequential loss, or loss caused by preview interruption, device failure or third-party networks. Any further limitation will be completed with the legal-entity review before public beta.

Ending use, changes and law

You can stop using the service and reset local identity data at any time. We may suspend access to protect people or infrastructure. Material term changes receive a new version and require acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; mandatory consumer protections and local jurisdiction rights still apply.

Contact

Use the support and safety form. Forgesworn is the operator name for this technical preview; full legal name, service address and formal notice contact must be published before public beta.
